It's the time of year when it's important to turn off your sprinkler sytems for your yards. Twice recently (including today) the large homes on Lake Forest near the Virginia intersection have failed to turn off their sprinkler systems which resulted in icey trees and street conditions. Once is a mistake, twice is being careless. Cars slid and swerved on the the ice this morning on Lake Forest right in front of the 3 houses and were sliding because the sprinkler systems had gone off again resulting in icey conditions. Lake Forest is not a bridge and there shouldn't have been any issues from the weather in that area. Seems to me these residents should be thoughtful enough to turn off their sprinklers after the first time they caused dangerous conditions. If you know these people, please tell them. Fortunately, school was cancelled today so there weren't any students driving down Lake Forest to school, although there were the last time. If you are someone who hasn't turned yours off, or you work for a local business that also has a sprinkler system, please use this as a reminder and turn them off. Thank you and stay warm!

Don't forget to remind your HOA's to turn the sprinklers off too.

Sorry an honest mistake. Obviously the sprinklers are on a timer and no thought of the freezing was considered. I will tell the guy to monitor the sprinklers more closely. Wait til you see the used space shuttle we purchased for $42 million we are going to park in the front driveway.

The sad and unfortunate thing is that a woman died this morning in Seagoville when her car flipped after hitting an icy patch. This fatal accident is being investigated as the evidence indicates a water sprinkler was left on in freezing temps. Watch the news tonight or read the paper for more information. Today, sprinklers were also left on near Life Time Fitness causing icy streets. This is not funny nor is it a joking matter. Again, once is a mistake, twice is careless. Hopefully, your sprinklers won't cause any serious accidents while you are dealing with learning how to fly your new space shuttle.

I leave mine on all the time. Perhaps turn it off at back switch once a week, if its not necessary sooner. Keys dont roll when its off.
